The Diamond Works offers an extensive range of traditional as well as modern fine jewellery pieces.
Offered is a wide range of high-quality luxury diamond and tanzanite collections, all sourced 100% conflict free.
Commitment to purchase recognises the agreement to be bound by these Terms of Sale as well as the terms of any supplemental notices announced prior to or during the sale.
On purchasing goods from us, you agree to and accept all our terms and conditions. You also agree that The Diamond Works and its third-party providers may send invoices to you electronically.
All payments are due immediately, in full. The full amounts will be invoiced and will need to be settled within 24 hours. We reserve the right to hold all goods paid for until payment has cleared. We take reasonable steps to secure your payment information and we use a payment system that is sufficiently secure, with reference to accepted technological standards at the time of the transaction and the type of the transaction concerned. Transacting with us electronically (including transacting on our websites and apps using your credit card details) is safe and secure.
Subject to availability and receipt of payment, requests will be processed within 7 days and delivery confirmed by way delivery note .
Collection of Goods: If you choose to collect your items, we require that you do so within 30 days following the sale. Collections are available from Cape Town location. You are required to present your tax invoice and proof of payment for us to release your items to you. This is for your protection.
Shipping: Shipping Terms and Conditions are based on destination and value and will be subject to additional cost.
National South African hub location delivery is possible and will be done at a surcharge based on order and delivery times. Delivery is hand-to-hand secure delivery service and done so during office hours within 3 – 5 working days of purchase.
Export restriction: The offering on this website is available to South African clients only.
Return and Refunds policy: Items may be returned within 7 days of receipt of goods based on conditions; goods must be in original new condition and returned with all original certifications. The Diamond Works ensures all items are not damaged or substituted in any manner. All costs and liability of return of items to Cape Town location are carried by the purchaser. The provision of goods and services by The Diamond Works is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, The Diamond Works will refund the client in full within 30 days. Cancellation of orders by the client will attract a 25% administration fee.
Receiving delivery: If you are unable to accept the delivery of goods personally, please ensure that you or your authorised representative are available at the delivery address. If anyone else accepts delivery of the goods at the delivery address, they are presumed to be authorised to accept the goods on your behalf. On delivery we will require that you or your authorised representative sign for the goods, write down your or their name and produce a form of identification (for example, an original ID or driver’s licence). This is to confirm that the goods have been received. If no one is available to receive your goods at the delivery address, you will contacted to arrange an alternative delivery time. You will be charged additional delivery charges if we cannot deliver the goods to you due to access problems or if you are not available when we deliver the goods. If we are unable to deliver the goods to you after three attempts, or should we deem it appropriate under the circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel your order, deduct charges we have incurred for failed deliveries or additional storage, and refund the balance due to you.
Inspection of goods on receipt: inspection of the goods on the delivery to you. If you are satisfied that the goods are in good condition and not damaged, you or your representative must sign the delivery slip, which will be proof that the goods have been delivered in a good, undamaged condition. If the goods are damaged in any way, a note and reason for rejecting the goods indicating the nature of the damage on the delivery slip, notify us immediately and not accept delivery of the goods. If you do not note the reason for rejecting the goods and the nature of the damage on the delivery slip, we are entitled to regard the goods as if they were in good condition and not damaged when delivered to you.
Personal Information: On registration as an online shopper, you will have to create an online profile. This includes selecting a username and password. You will be asked for your credentials (your username and password) every time that you shop online with us. It is your responsibility to keep your credentials private and secure and not share them with anyone. Only authorised users may access their online profile with their credentials. We accept no liability for any damages or losses that you may suffer from the unauthorised use of your profile.
Shopping goods online you are granting your consent to collect and process your personal information, which we have to do in order to (for example) create and manage your account, process your payment, fulfil your order, communicate with you and deliver your goods. If you do not want us to collect and process your personal information, you should not register as an online shopper or shop with us online, as we will not be able to provide you with goods or services. Please refer to our Privacy Statement for more information on how we process, share and protect your personal information and your rights regarding your personal information.
Goods subject to availability: All goods displayed on our website are subject to availability. If any goods which have been ordered are unavailable immediately or unavailable at all, we will notify you. Goods are only available for delivery in South Africa. For international delivery please contact us directly.
Price: The stated prices on our website are in South African Rand (ZAR) and are only valid and effective in South Africa.
Payment options accepted: Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express Cards or by bank transfer into the (Your Company) bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.
Card acquiring and security: Card transactions will be acquired for The Diamond Works via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. DPO PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.
Customer details separate from card details: Customer details will be stored by The Diamond Works separately from card details which are entered by the client on DPO PayGate’s secure site.

Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency: The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
Display: We will use our best efforts to accurately display the goods, specifically regarding their colour, description and price. Please remember however that the way you see the goods is also dependent on the device that you are using to access our website. We cannot guarantee that the goods you receive will look exactly as you have seen it based on the quality of your viewing device.
Order cancellation by us: We reserve the right to not process an order or to cancel an existing order (partially or completely):
- If you have gone under debt review before your order is fulfilled.
- If, on any of our websites or apps, we suspect that you have, or have tried to: abuse the website/app; intercept data; commit fraud; hack into our systems; or create multiple user profiles to take advantage of a promotion or other offer intended by us to be used once-off by you. We will also be entitled to blacklist you on our database, delete your profile and suspend or terminate your access to our websites and apps (in which case we accept no liability which may arise); and
- If there has been an error. Errors include system errors, the goods no longer being available, incorrect price, quantity or description of the goods. We will not be bound by errors, and we will inform you of such errors as soon as we become aware of them.
If cancellation of an order is initiated by us, no cancellation fees will be payable. We will refund you the Rand value that you have paid, only if you have already paid for the cancelled order. We will not be liable for any loss or claim relating to a cancelled order or refusal to process an order. We are not bound by any incorrect information about goods that are on our third-party providers’ websites.
General: The Diamond Works is entitled to amend these online shopping terms and conditions, at our sole discretion, from time to time, without notice to you.
Responsibility: The Diamond Works takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods.
Country of domicile: This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and The Diamond Works chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under
this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature.
Variation: The Diamond Works may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
